Mulan


Mulan is an animated production of Walt Disney Feature Animation and first released on June 5, 1998 by Walt Disney Pictures and Buena Vista Distribution. The film is directed by Tony Bancroft and Barry Cook, the story was written by Robert D. San Souci who took the basic idea of the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan.

Mulan is one of the few female characters who is not a Disney princess or a very beautiful woman but the character of a strong and assertive woman. All the characters are drawn based on Chinese art. The presence of animal friends Mulan also brings something new for the audience because the animals usually used as an evil character.

Mulan world will appear in the game Kingdom Hearts II with the name "Land of the Dragons". This movie sequel, Mulan II, was released in 2005.

Storyline

The story begins with attacked a dynasty in the People's Republic of China by the Huns, the emperor should make conscripting. Each family must send a man, including the Fa family. The only family member that he is Fa Mulan's father who, despite a war veteran, was growing old. Apart from that problem, Mulan is also facing problems because he is not the type of girl dandy but people expect so.

Mulan who did not want his father to go to war disguised as men and went to replace his father. Seeing this, the Fa family ancestors send Mushu, a small dragon to aid Mulan. Mulan and her friends then sent to war under the command of the Shang and, after going through various problems, managed to hamper the enemy. Unfortunately, the true identity uncovered Mulan.

Resurgent enemy troops who eventually attacked the palace and almost kill the emperor but Mulan with friends sepasukannya managed to save the emperor and all dynasties.

* Soon-Tek Oh as Fa Zhou, Mulan and the father of the famous ex-soldiers.
* June Foray as Grandmother Fa (singing voice by Marni Nixon), Mulan's grandmother, who encouraged Mulan find a husband.
* Pat Morita as the Emperor of China, objective kidnapping Hun tribes and praised Mulan after saving him and the Chinese Empire.
* George Takei as First Ancestors Fa, chairman of the Fa family ancestors.
* Freda Foh Shen as Fa Li, Mulan's mother.
